The realm of big tech has seen many announcements this week. In the US, lawmakers are attempting to push forward a draft data privacy legislation which would put huge restrictions on tech companies’ ability to collect consumer data. Also, OpenAI and Meta both plan to release new AI models soon.
Meanwhile, at its Google Cloud Next event this week, the tech giant revealed many new updates to its services. It also announced a partnership with WPP through which the advertising group will be able to enhance its marketing efforts.
Elon Musk also made headlines this week as he faced scrutiny from the Brazil Supreme Court. A judge, Justice Alexandre Moraes, has opened an inquiry into Musk, after the billionaire said he would reactivate accounts linked to far-right movements which Moraes had given orders to block.
