TeqBlaze, known for its cutting-edge programmatic advertising solutions, introduces rewarded video ads support within the Prebid SDK for both iOS and Android. This development represents a significant advancement in the SDK’s capabilities, enabling transparent header bidding and helping publishers achieve better fill rates.
”To meet the growing demand for profit-making in-app monetisation without disrupting user experience, we introduce a new format with expanded capabilities and smooth rewarded video integration. SDK-rewarded video is now supported in the Prebid Mobile SDK, improving user engagement and increasing revenue for publishers,“ said Anastasia-Nikita Bansal, CEO of TeqBlaze.
Previously, rewarded ads within Prebid operated using generic interstitial ad logic, which limited effective reward configuration and performance. Under the guidance of Olga Zharuk (CPO at TeqBlaze) and Vladislav Isaiko (CTO at TeqBlaze), TeqBlaze tackled these limitations with a dedicated rewarded video format. This allows multiple demand sources to compete fairly in real-time auctions, with the Prebid SDK managing the bidding process and the Google Mobile Ads (GMA) SDK handling ad rendering.
Within the update, publishers can now easily integrate rewarded video ads into mobile applications, including:
- iOS: Developers can use the 'RewardedVideoAdUnit' class in the Prebid SDK to send bid requests and targeting data to Google’s Mobile Ads SDK. The highest bid returned by the Prebid Server is rendered through GAM.
- Android: Users can initialise 'RewardedVideoAdUnit' with a configuration ID, set video parameters, request bids, and rely on GAM to serve the winning ad.
“Even after the OpenRTB 2.6 update, the SDK lacked crucial rewarded video functionality. Responding to this gap, we proposed a solution and added a dedicated rewarded ad format, expanding its capabilities and ensuring seamless integration,” added Olga Zharuk, CPO of TeqBlaze.
With more than 10 years of expertise, TeqBlaze remains committed to building next-gen solutions that accelerate programmatic processes and deliver the latest AdTech technologies to empower business growth.
