Google Releases Info On Top 1000 Visited Sites Globally And Ad Inventory Available Through GCN

Google released some new Doubleclick Ad Planner features today. The most interesting of the new features is the list on the top one thousand global websites by monthly unique traffic. To help media buyers run campaigns on these sites Google shows what inventory is available on the top 1000 web properties through the Google Content Network. There is also data on what placements are available. It’s a fascinating read just to see what properties are in the upper echelons of the list. Facebook is sitting pretty on top with nearly four hundred and ninety million unique users and 1.2 billion page impressions every month. Other noteworthy mentions are the number of native Chinese sites in the top one hundred (there are seven sites alone in the top 20). Top of the Chinese pile is Baidu.com, clocking in at number eight with two hundred and thirty million unique visitors every month. But the most surprising thing I’ve seen, having had a cursory look at the data, is that there is Facebook inventory available to media planner buyers through the Google Content Network. Interesting.

I'm happy for somebody to correct, but here's the screenshot of the Doubleclick Ad Planner data on Facebook inventory available through GCN:
