Blue Billywig & Applicaster Collaborate on Streaming TV App for Leading Regional Broadcaster

Blue Billywig and Applicaster are proud to announce their collaboration on a TV media app for Omroep Brabant, a leading regional television and radio broadcaster in the Netherlands.

Blue Billywig has worked with Omroep Brabant since 2009 to take their video strategy to the next level, creating an integrated workflow within the newsroom system, automating media distribution, and supporting advanced monetisation and analytics. Applicaster began collaborating with Blue Billywig in 2022 when Omroep Brabant needed a custom app for several TV platforms.

“We’ve partnered with Omroep Brabant for years to meet their video needs on the web and their app. When it was time for a new easy-to-build and easy-to-integrate TV app that could support all TV platforms, we chose to collaborate with Applicaster and their Zapp platform because they checked all the boxes,” said Jeroen Meeter, Blue Billywig’s CEO.

Applicaster’s Zapp app management platform offers a no/low-code solution for building, customising, and scaling cross-platform media apps. Zapp helps connect businesses with their audiences and drive performance by providing the control, agility, and data needed to grow.

Blue Billywig's all-in-one online video platform is designed to simplify video content management for businesses, optimising their workflow and elevating their video strategy. Users can manage, publish, analyse, and monetise high-quality video content across multiple channels and devices with ease.

By working together, Blue Billywig is able to offer its clients accessible OTT platforms and Applicaster’s clients are able to access Blue Billywig’s services.

“Blue Billywig is an innovative company with a powerful video platform, and we’re excited to be collaborating with them to help Omroep Brabant expand their regional reach. We see the growing demand of regional broadcasting networks to broaden their digital strategy, and we look forward to building more partnerships like this across the market,” said Ido Hadari, Applicaster’s CEO.
