Gustav von Sydow, CEO, Burt
Gustav von Sydow is the CEO and founder of Burt, the Swedish software startup helping the advertising industry become more clever and creative with data. Prior to founding Burt, Gustav was an award-winning advertising strategist and developer, creating campaigns, websites and applications for start-ups as well as Fortune 500 companies. He is a frequent speaker at conferences for advertising and internet technology, and has presented at Cannes Lions, Web 2.0, Techcrunch50, DEMO and Eurobest.
Gustav Mellentin Co-Founder, CEO, Adform
Gustav Mellentin is a co-founder of Adform and has been CEO of Adform since the company was founded in 2002. Prior to founding Adform, Gustav worked as a Management Consultant at Bain & Company in Stockholm and held the position of Senior Analyst with Nordea Markets, Copenhagen, specializing in the development of mathematical models fort he pricing of structured financial products. Gustav holds an MBA from IMD (International Institute for Management Development) and an MSc in Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark. Gustav has been based in our London office since 2009.
Brian Fitzpatrick, Managing Director, Europe, Adap.tv
Brian is charged with leading the growth of agency, ad network and publisher partnerships as well as the management of operations across all European markets. Most recently, Fitzpatrick was managing director for Europe for The MIG (Media Innovation Group), a WPP Digital company, where he oversaw the enterprise from start-up to one of the industry’s most successful agency technology businesses. Previous positions include roles at Lycos Europe, GAME U.K. Ltd., and Mediacom where he helped brands take their first steps in online advertising in 1997 when the medium was in its infancy.
Jason Bigler, Director Product Development for EMEA, Google
Jason Bigler is responsible for Google's Display Ads product strategy across the European, Middle East, and African regions. He brings over a decade of experience in developing and commercializing products within the digital advertising industry. Prior to joining Google, Jason was SVP of Product for Collective where he oversaw the development and strategy of their AMP technology platform and media business. Jason also spent 6 years at DoubleClick as VP of Product where he led the global strategy of their buy-side platform, DoubleClick for Advertisers.
Nigel Gilbert, Director of Sales for EMEA at AppNexus
Nigel is charged with building relationships with the leading buyers and sellers of digital advertising in the region. He is leading the commercial efforts and playing a key role in helping to drive the expansion across Europe.
Nigel most recently served as Head of Orange Ad Market (UK & FR) for France Telecom. There, he was responsible for all commercial operations at Orange Ad Market, the real-time bidding (RTB) exchange.
Previously, Nigel was a founding partner of Unanimis, the first and largest digital publisher network in the UK. Unanimis established sales operations for eBay and the BBC among others, and was instrumental in the inception of the OpenX ad-server. Unanimis was acquired by the Orange France Telecom Group in 2009, and at the time it was one of the largest digital buying points in the UK.
AppNexus’ London office opened in July 2011 and is one of four global offices, including the company’s New York headquarters.
Jukka Sundquist is Partner and Head of Display at KliKKi
Jukka Sundquist is Partner and Head of Display in KliKKi, Digital Marketing company in the Nordics. Jukka is responsible of Klikki's Online Display unit focusing on Online Display business development and sales. He has been working with digital marketing since 2003 and with Klikki since 2005. Jukka and his team were the first one in the nordics to introduce RTB through their own DSP solution, KliKKi ASX, in early 2012.
Kate Owen, Managing Director, Europe, Digital Element
Kate Owen serves as Digital Element’s Managing Director, Europe bringing over twelve years of technology solutions and online advertising experience to her role. Prior to Digital Element, Kate spent twelve years living and working in Germany, initially in product management roles for digital publishing brands, and later heading up Business Development for the advertising network ad pepper media. In 2010 she moved to London to lead UK operations for the ad serving company Emediate.
Kate holds an MA in European Business and is fluent in German. She is a native New Zealander who has lived and worked in Europe since 1994. In a former life as a classical musician she gained both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the violoncello.
Ola Tiverman, CEO, Admeta
As CEO of Admeta, Ola Tiverman is an experienced executive who specialises in high-tech and world class optimization software development enterprises. He has been with Admeta since 2007 and held various positions such as COO, EVP Research & Development, before he became CEO in November 2010. Ola has managed the development of the WhiteBox Tango product platform and built a strong team of optimization experts, which went on to produce a very successful and competitive private ad exchange platform for premium publishers. Ola is very proud of working with an extraordinarily competent group of co-workers at Admeta.
From 2002-2007 Ola was CTO at Todos Data System, developing internet banking authentication solutions (software, hardware and cryptography), now successfully sold to Gemalto. From 1992-2002 Ola worked as Director of R&D at Carmen Systems, making resource optimization software for the airline and railway industries. This software now dominates the airline market and the company is now owned by Jeppesen, a Boeing company. Ola studied Computer and Electronics Science at the University of Skövde.
Otto Neubert Block, CEO, Emediate
Otto Neubert Block is the CEO of the ad serving company Emediate, joining the company in 2008. Otto is an internet pioneer with 15 years of experience from online sales and marketing, as well as a background as Sales Director at some of the largest online sales networks in Denmark. Otto and his team have made Emediate the dominant ad server in the Nordic market and have introduced different solutions for their publishers to engage with RTB and deliver supply to the ever growing automated trading services online.
Petteri Vainikka, Founding Partner & VP Marketing, Enreach
Petteri Vainikka is responsible for strategic marketing and leading Enreach's mission to help premium publishers de-commoditize their display advertising value proposition. Prior to Enreach, Petteri has held sales & marketing, global business development, and management team positions at Sumea, Digital Chocolate, Leiki, and Rovio (best known for the hit title Angry Birds); which he also co-founded as Head of Sales & Marketing.
Petteri holds a MSc degree in Telecommunications Management from Helsinki University of Technology, where he has also been an awarded post-graduate course teacher for three years.
Peter Loell, Director, Annalect, Omnicom MediaGroup
Peter is Director of Annalect, the digital data and analytics arm of the Omnicom MediaGroup. Annalect works with media agencies OMD and PHD to combine data, analytics, planning and buying to help clients face the challenges of the real-time advertising world, which is populated by vast amounts of data. Peter is currently working on how to make the transition from media buying to audience buying. On joining Annalect, Peter made the move from ‘Mad Men’ to ‘Math Men’ following previous roles in broadcast & advertising.
Simon Halstead, Director, Microsoft Advertising Exchange EMEA, Microsoft Advertising (MSA)
Simon Halstead is the Director, Microsoft Advertising Exchange EMEA. He led the launch and rollout of Microsoft Advertising Exchange across 10 European markets in 2011, and is focused to driving and managing demand via the advertising exchange.
Previously responsible for media acquisition for Microsoft Media Network across EMEA, Simon has spent time in senior roles on both the agency and publishing side of industry. He started his career in TV buying for Zenith Media in 1997 and was a founder member of Zenith Interactive in 2000.
He moved to work at AdLINK Media Group, a publisher sales house for 5 years running publisher development and operations, before returning to the agency fold as Director of Digital for All Response Media. In 2008, he joined DrivePM recently acquired by Microsoft, and worked to combine the DrivePM and MSNDR offerings to form Microsoft Media Network.
Wouter Hulst, 201 Connected Media
Wouter Hulst has a background in the ICT market, working for both Dell Computer and Cisco Systems. After working in various senior management positions for these companies in sales and marketing, Wouter joined Sanoma Media, the largest online publisher in the Netherlands, in 2008 as commercial director. At Sanoma he implemented a customer centric commercial approach and developed the commercial strategy further into a performance and branding business with a strong focus on the advertising framework.
Wouter also was on the board of the JIC STIR (Joint Industry Committee for Digital Media in the Netherlands) and was member of the board of Internet Advertising Bureau IAB in the Netherlands.
In 2010 Wouter started his own company BTB Commerce BV, since 2012 operating under the brand 201. 201 has worked with companies like: Grupo Prisa, Interactive Media/Deutsche Telekom, Admeta and Burt and through the Connected-Publisher network connects with the top publishers in the largest European countries. The Connected-Publisher network has been integrated with INMA to support publishers to manage through the change of the new e-privacy legislation.

Johanna Staaf, Business Director, MORE Mobile Relations and Director of the Board, IAB Sweden
With a professional background in telecoms and media Johanna has held positions in business development, sales and marketing in highly entrepreneurial companies as well as international corporates in Scandinavia and SEA region. Johanna’s telecoms background includes positions as Business Development Manager in Telenor Sweden and Principal in Corporate Strategy at DiGi, Telenor’s carrier in Malaysia.
Prior to joining the Telenor Group, Johanna started out her career in 2005 in themedia industry. Johanna held positions as Commercial Project Manager for MTG’s business units Viasat Broadcasting and MTG New Media.
In 2008, Johanna took part in the establishment of the Swedish chapter of IAB, the world’s largest trade organization for digital advertising. Today, Johanna serves as Director of the Board of IAB Sweden.
Greg Williams, Co-Founder and VP Business Operations, EMEA, MediaMath
Greg leads MediaMath’s business development in EMEA, and creates business and technology relationships with partners and oversees MediaMath’s business operations. Having focused his career at the intersection of marketing and technology, Greg is an expert in automation and large-scale technology offerings. Leveraging his unique blend of business and technical skills, Greg works with clients and with data and inventory partners across media channels to help them build their businesses on MediaMath’s TerminalOne platform.
Prior to his move to London, Greg managed all internal and external reporting and analyses from MediaMath’s New York headquarters, spearheading the design, development, and management of MediaMath’s analytics platform. Before co-founding MediaMath, Greg led advertiser media strategy at [x+1], working with global brands on website and media optimisation.
Josh Mortensen, Founder and Managing Partner at GlibHippo
Josh has 17 years of marketing experience on 3 continents. Originally from Colorado, USA, in 2003, he cofounded the company that would become LOVEFiLM DK. Starting in 2007, he became the LOVEFiLM DK MD, making it the fastest growing territory. He was responsible for LOVEFiLM’s nordic product: website, pricing, & packages for three territories. He has bought more online advertising in that time than he cares to think about. Josh has an MA in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin and, for some reason, can speak Arabic.
