The upcoming ATS Sydney conference in March is fast approaching and our panel is rounding out with some impressive speakers from the region. ExchangeWire is happy to announce the addition of Mark Britt CEO of ninemsn and Brett Wilson CEO of Tubemogal.
Mark Britt took the helm of the ninemsn group of companies in September 2011. The ninemsn network has a collection of over 50 sites and is Australia's largest online content publisher with more than 9.7 million people visiting the site each month – that’s 67% of Australia’s online population.
As Group CEO, Mark Britt runs all ninemsn group activities across Australia and New Zealand including: ninemsn, Windows Live, Bing, Cudo and investments in iSelect and RateCity. Before being appointed CEO he sat on the ninemsn Board of Directors.
Britt has a wealth of executive and commercial experience in online, advertising and consumer technology fields and the Australian, European and Asia-Pacific markets. He is an established leader and has an impressive track record in identifying breakthrough business opportunities, executing high profile joint ventures and pioneering transformational partnerships in digital.
Britt returned to Australia after spending four years with Microsoft, most recently as General Manager for Consumer and Online. In his time at Microsoft, Britt built the first integrated consumer team in Asia Pacific, bringing together MSFT's consumer software, advertising and marketing assets for the first time.
Brett Wilson leads the strategic direction for TubeMogul, a video marketing company which focuses specifically on branding. By integrating real-time media buying, ad serving, targeting, optimisation and brand measurement into its PlayTime platform, TubeMogul aims to simplfy the delivery of video ads and maximise the impact of every dollar spent by brand marketers. The company, which was founded in 2006, is based in Emeryville, CA with offices in New York, London, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Sydney.
Under Brett’s leadership, TubeMogul has grown revenues over 300% annually since inception and attracted world-class board members, investors and employees. He is a serial entrepreneur and has created shareholder and customer value through multiple companies. In the late 90’s, Brett started an ecommerce company called YouCanSave.com, which he built to $70 million in revenue and sold to HIG Capital. In 2001, the company was honoured with the “San Francisco Times Hot Technology Award” and is listed as one of the “Top 10 Fastest Growing Ecommerce Companies in the World” by NextCard.
Brett also founded Mariner Marketing – a digital marketing agency that became the digital agency of record for several brands including Church & Dwight and Orange Glo International. Additionally, Brett spent three years as a technology consultant at Accenture, leading system implementations for Fortune 100 clients including Adecco, Republic Industries and Caesar’s World International.
Brett is a recognized thought leader in the digital video advertising industry and speaks regularly at conferences including OMMA, AdTech and StreamingMedia. Brett received his MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. It was at UC Berkeley that he and John Hughes started TubeMogul and won the Berkeley Business Plan Competition in 2007.
